About SerpTested

SerpTested is an independent site that tests SEO tools and publishes the results.

Who runs it

SerpTested is run by Kapil Lodhi, an SEO consultant based in Indore, India. He has worked in search since 2022, running technical SEO, content and link building projects for clients in India, the United States and Canada.

Kapil uses tools such as Ahrefs, Semrush and SE Ranking in client work, and he runs every test on this site himself. His client work and case studies are at kapilseo.com. You can also find him on LinkedIn and X.

Why this site exists

SEO tools estimate traffic, keyword volumes and backlinks, and those estimates shape budgets and strategy. Most comparisons online repeat feature lists and pricing pages. We wanted to know how close the numbers get to reality, so we measure it.
